Tolmachevo Airport is named the Best Airport in Russia Tolmachevo Airport is named the best Russian airport after being included in the list of winners of the International Public transport industry award "Golden Chariot". Awarding the best international and domestic airlines and airports with the Public Prize "Golden Chariot" was held in Berlin, Germany as a part of the 17th World Forum for development of air transportation Routes. JSC "Airport Tolmachevo" won the prize "Golden Chariot" for the third time. Previously, JSC "Airport Tolmachevo" became the winner of the "Golden Chariot" in 2005 and 2010. The "Golden Chariot" award, which was established in 2005 by the Committee on Energy Transport and Communication of the State Duma and the Ministry of Transport, is awarded to managers and teams representing the domestic transport sector, transport services, transportation science and education and allied industries. JSC "Airport Tolmachevo" is a part of NOVAPORT airport holding.

The Inaugural International Forum “Airport Development Russia and CIS” was held on March 22 – 23, 2011 at Marriott Grand Hotel, Moscow. The event was organized by the Adam Smith Institute.
